On with the right tool to frame! Build a frame out of PVC pipes which will provide structure to the spray booth. The frame must be tall and wide enough so that your car fits inside comfortably. This will allow you ample space to move around as you’re painting.
Once you have the frame, the foam covering comes next. Cover the frame with heat resistant plastic. The plastic does it as a barrier to ensure that the paint remains in the booth. Secure the plastic to the frame with zip-ties or duct tape. Ensure that there are no gaps where paint can leak out.
In the spray booth you need to fit a filter. Any paint particles that float through the air will be caught by the filter, keeping the air cleaner for you to breathe. A fan is also necessary to help blow the bad air and ventilation. A good bathroom fan does the trick really well!
The next step is to install lights into the spray booth. Fluorescent lights work good as they are very bright lights which will make you see wherever you are painting. You may use zip-ties to connect the lights to the PVC frame. Make sure your work area is well lit so you can see all the details.
